The prom started with the red carpet entrance and pictures, students came all glammed in their formal attires totally excited to see each other. With the male students on tuxedo and female students looking fabulous in their formal dress, the hall sure looked different.
Ushered in by Mr. Adewale Gbenga, the students exchanged pleasantries and took their sit. Shortly afterwards, the Principal Mrs. Angela Imoni address the students.
Mrs. Imoni made clear the importance of making use of all knowledge and skill acquires while in MCFDS in the real world. She stated that “there is a wider world outside the four walls of MCFDS, and while all that you have been taught here would help you through it all, it is a start. Know that there is nothing impossible for you, the most celebrated individual started with little steps too. Please make sure that you are not only passing through school, the school should also pass through you, one way or another in the various field you will choice, make a mark”.
The night started proper with games coordinated by Mr. Emeka. During the games students were asked to give a summary of their experience (s) which they all started had been funning learning from their amazing teachers and meeting friends would made the six-year ride smooth.
The Highlight of the night was the selection and announcement of the Prom king and queen. Mr. Adewale before announcing the result stated that the election had been carried out amongst all the students and was indeed free and fair. Whilst they waited for the result, Eke Janice and her team entertained the Graduands with dance trends.
With the results in, Atano Precious was announced the prom king and Omoyinbo Faith the prom queen. Just as tradition required, they had their prom dance during which refreshments were served. Once their dance was over, the dance floor was opened to everyone.
It was indeed a fun night for the staff and students of MCFDS.
